Chioma Brown (859) 257-5217

Hey future Wildcats! My name is Chioma Brown and I am a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky. Coming from Olive Branch, MS, I was eager to take advantage of everything UK and the city of Lexington had to offer me as an out-of-state student.   I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Biology at UK, and then went on to obtain my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at Liberty University.  I truly enjoyed my time as a Wildcat, from my experience living on campus to the many research opportunities available to me in Arts & Sciences, to my involvement in so many different student organizations.   I joined the Iota Sigma chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., ran for office with the Student Government Association, participated in various community service projects with the Black Student Union, and worshipped with the Christian Student Fellowship.  Each of these organizations, and so many more, allowed me to meet new and interesting students, expand my own horizons, and explore both new and familiar interests and passions.   Most importantly, each academic and extracurricular experience helped to contribute to my growth and development as an individual, and I wouldn't be where I am today without the many experiences I gained at the University of Kentucky.

I am thrilled to share my experiences with you, tell you more about the opportunities that are in store for you, and be a resource to you throughout the college search process.   My in-state territory includes many of the South, Central and Western counties of Kentucky, including: Adair, Allen, Barren, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Green, Hardin, Hart, LaRue, Meade, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson, Taylor, and Warren. My out-of-state territory is Tennessee.

I encourage you to come and visit the University of Kentucky and SEE BLUE for yourself! While you're here, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my excitement about this incredible university! GO CATS! email: chioma.brown@uky.edu

Hi everyone! My name is Anna Harris and I am originally from the small town of Lewisburg, Kentucky. I immediately fell in love when I stepped onto this campus and became a member of the Big Blue Nation! As a recent May 2014 graduate, my wonderful undergrad experience is fresh on my mind. Apart from receiving a dual degree in Integrated Strategic Communication and Spanish, I took advantage of the opportunity to get involved in campus life by participating in events like FUSION, DanceBlue, and the National Student Advertising Competition team. I was also an active member of Delta Gamma sorority and a college ambassador for Keeneland. Although winning the 2012 NCAA National Championship comes in close second, I would have to say the highlight of my college career was spending a semester abroad in Seville, Spain and getting to travel through Europe and to Northern Africa. I even got to ride a camel over the beautiful sand dunes of the Sahara Desert! All of my experiences at UK helped prepare me for my future.  I not only gained an excellent education, but also developed my professional skill set and built lasting relationships with my fellow Wildcats.

The University of Kentucky opened up a world of opportunities to me that I never knew existed, and it can do the same for you!
