Graduates of our program work in education, public health, government, private business, and other settings. They create courses for colleges and universities, provide continuing education credits, and implement training. As a graduate of this program you will be able to:

  • Design educational materials for interaction in the online setting. 
  • Use learning management systems like Canvas and Blackboard.
  • Obtain training and coursework assessment in Quality Matters.
  • Learn digital video conferencing tools like Zoom, Blue Jeans, and Big Blue Button.
  • Implement e-learning and multimedia tools like Camtasia.

Coursework completed as part of this graduate certificate may also count toward the online Master of Science in Instructional Systems Design or the online Master in Rehabilitation Counseling. The Graduate Certificate is a collaborative effort of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction within the Instructional Systems Design program and the Department of  Early Childhood, Special Education, and Rehabilitation Counseling.

Admission to the program requires a bachelor’s degree in any field, with a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher.
