Graduate

Discover and acquaint yourself with information regarding our admission and application process for online graduate programs at the University of Kentucky. UK Online proudly features 21 Masters, 5 Doctoral, and 32 Graduate Certificate programs for you to choose your next academic undertaking.

STEP 1:

Confirm that your program can be offered, recognized, and/or lead to licensure or certification in your state.

Some states have regulatory requirements that limit what courses or programs can be offered and/or that outline whether a program's credentials will allow individuals to pursue licensure or certification in that state.

Learn about regulatory requirements for your program by visiting Out of State Educational Activities.

STEP 2:

Check your program of interest to see what is needed.

Many graduate programs require additional information from applicants that must be uploaded to the application. This may include a curriculum vita, personal statement, writing sample or an assistantship application.

Also, some programs may require you submit a separate application in addition to your application to the UK Graduate School.  Examples of programs that require additional applications are: Public Health, Nursing, Engineering, and Social Work.

STEP 3:

Create an account with UK’s Graduate School.

All graduate applications to the University of Kentucky Graduate School must be submitted online. You may apply for as many programs as you wish, but EACH application requires completion of a separate application form and submission of a separate application fee.

Each application will require a separate account consisting of
    (i) an email address
    (ii) a username
    (iii) a password.

NOTE: You will use this account information to return to complete an unfinished application or review a completed application.

See our Graduate Admissions Application Guide. PDF contains screen shots to help familiarize you to the application system.

View the Graduate School application process for details on the application process to our graduate programs.

STEP 4:

Prepare and submit your application.

All materials must be uploaded to the online application system. You will be able to save your progress and return to your application later should you need to wait on documents. Once everything is ready, submit your application.

Currently the fee for domestic applicants is $65.00 per application for domestic applicants and $75.00 per application for international applicants. Please note that the application cannot be submitted without payment of this fee.
