Sama to speak at A&S' Year of Civics and Citizenship in the 21st Century symposium

Michael Sama, Ph.D., P.E., will speak during a sustainability symposium sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences' Year of Civics and Citizenship in the 21st Century: Keys to our Common Future. The symposium will be held Friday, December 1, from noon to 3:30 pm in W.T. Young Library. One of five panelists from across the university, Dr. Sama will discuss autonomous vehicles and robotics.

Crofcheck accepts position in Lewis Honors College

11-27-2017 Czarena Crofcheck, Ph.D., P.E., has accepted a new position as associate dean for academic affairs in the Lewis Honors College. In addition to teaching and conducting research, Dr. Crofcheck has served as Director of Undergraduate Studies for several years. She also has been instrumental in the department's ABET accreditation and assessment. We wish her the best in her new position.

Carmen Agouridis, Ph.D., P.E., was interviewed by Sophie Beavin, director of outreach for the UK Sustainability Council, for the weekly show "Green Talks" on 88.1 WRFL, Radio Free Lexington. The Student Sustainability Council was formed to supervise the distribution of the Environmental Stewardship Fee in order to responsibly advance the theory, practice and reality of Sustainability at the University of Kentucky.
