ANA offers new Nurse Suicide Prevention and Resilience Resource

Monday, October 12, 2020

The American Nurses Association (ANA) is offering a new nurse suicide prevention and resilience website

UK’s very own Dean of the College of Nursing, Dr. Janie Heath, served on the task force to create this timely resource for nurses. The nurse population is already at greater risk for suicide than the general population. During COVID-19, nurses are struggling even more than normal to fight mental health battles such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. The new site offered by ANA features tools and information to:

  •        Build resilience
  •        Assist in active crisis
  •        Support suicide survivors
  •        Offer grief and bereavement coping strategies
  •       Honor a nurse’s memory

BH WELL is passionate about loving our nurses well and supporting their long-term mental health. Please share this resource with nurse colleagues and friends. Our nurses are not alone. Help is available.
