STUDENT LABS - SPRING 2023
Labs will run daily through April 28th except for Spring Break. All sessions will be held in the Stuckert Career Center Kemper Library (room 107)
MONDAYS: Preparing for the BIG Interview (12 pm)
Have an important interview coming up? Whether it is for a job, internship, or post-graduate opportunity, this event is for you! We will chat about helpful interview tips and teach you how to use Big Interview, a step-by-step job interview preparation system that can be used anywhere and anytime!
TUESDAYS: Using the tools to find an Internship (12 pm)
You have already thought about an experience you want for your career but don’t know where to start your search. Work with Career Center staff to engage your search process in Handshake, LinkedIn and the Wildcat Network!
WEDNESDAYS: Crafting Your Personal Statements (12 pm)
Many professional applications will ask for a personal statement. What exactly is a personal statement and what is it supposed to convey? How do I go about getting started? If you would like some tips regarding writing your personal statement, this is the session for you!
THURSDAYS: Handshake 101 (12 pm)
Join us for a Handshake Lab to learn how you can utilize this helpful tool to search for jobs and internships, make appointments with Career Center advisors, connect with employers, and find out about career fairs and other career-related events on campus.
FRIDAYS: Resume Lab (12 pm and 2 pm)
The average employer spends about 8 seconds looking at a potential hire resume. Want to make your resume stand out? This resume event focuses on perfecting student resumes. Stop by if you are just getting started or need a few final resume tweaks! We are happy to help with any and all resume needs!
