In her role as the Assistant Director for Graduate/Professional Students and Postdoctoral Scholars at the Stuckert Career Center, Tithi Basu Mallik develops and delivers services, programs, and resources tailored to the career needs of UK graduate students, professional students, and postdoctoral scholars. She also provides one-on-one advising on career education, exploration, and preparation topics for industry, non-profit, government, and academic roles.

Tithi is affiliated with the Graduate School as the Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Career Advisor. She is interested in partnering with faculty members and other stakeholders at UK and beyond to promote graduate/professional student and postdoctoral success. Tithi completed her Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Connecticut.

Prior job that shaped her: Prior to joining the University of Kentucky, Tithi worked for over 4 years in the domain of graduate student and postdoctoral programs and services at the Center for Career Development at the University of Connecticut. This job was instrumental in helping her discover her passion for advocating for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.

What she enjoys doing outside of work: Listening to podcasts and reading.

A goal in life: Tithi wants to continue to contribute towards making higher education, in general, more inclusive, diverse, and equitable space for underrepresented communities.

Fun fact: Tithi is trilingual – she can speak, read, and write in Bengali and Hindi, in addition to English.
