Join us for our 3rd Annual University of Kentucky Men of Color Symposium on Thursday, February 10th, 2022. The theme for the 2022 University of Kentucky Men of Color Symposium is “There’s Levels to This: Holistically Understanding Self.” Our theme is rooted in our commitment to embrace, acknowledge and support the holistic needs of Men of Color throughout the K-12 and college experience. Using the theory of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs as our guiding framework, the UK Men of Color Symposium committee is seeking presentations that directly or indirectly speak towards the developmental needs of Black and Brown men in higher education.
Open to students and professionals across Kentucky and beyond, attendees will be exposed to renowned speakers, presented with insightfully themed sessions with applicable and practical information, and opportunities to discuss building support for men of color.
The Martin Luther King Center in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Diversity, The College of Medicine, and the Office for Student Success has put together this one-day symposium filled with experts and presenters from all over the world.
