Ellen Hahn is Professor in the Colleges of Nursing and Public Health at the University of Kentucky (UK). She holds the Marcia A. Dake Endowed Professorship in the College of Nursing. Dr. Hahn has a research focus in implementation and dissemination science with an emphasis on environmental risk reduction in rural, lower-income communities. She is Director for the Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing (OEHN) Core of the Central Appalachian Regional Education and Research Center (CARERC). She is also Director for UK-CARES (Center for Appalachian Research in Environmental Sciences; P30 ES026529) and directs BREATHE (Bridging Research Efforts and Advocacy Toward Healthy Environments). She leads population-based environmental risk reduction intervention and observational studies, and develops and tests evidence-based policy advocacy interventions.
