Koru is an introduction to mindfulness and meditation. It is an online, experiential class designed to help individuals tune into their bodies by learning two to three skills per week for dealing with stress.
Research shows that self-compassion increases life satisfaction, happiness, self-confidence, body appreciation and immune function. Self-compassion decreases anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism and shame. This 4-week workshop is based on the works of Kristin Neff and Chris Germer. It is an opportunity to learn, practice and bring more self-compassion into our lives.
There will be sessions on September 10, 17, 24 and October 1 from 2 - 3 p.m.
It is recommended that you attend as many sessions as you can. Each session has unique content specific to that individual session. You can participate even if you can't attend all four sessions.
