The Office of eLearning, part of University of Kentucky Analytics and Technologies, has launched a webpage to consolidate access to a variety of resources to support faculty who integrate technology in teaching and learning. Located at www.uky.edu/elearning, it includes information about course development awards and other funding, opportunities to use new technologies, and sessions for faculty technology training, among other information.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 3, 2014) — CIO magazine has named the University of Kentucky as a recipient of a 2014 CIO 100 Award. The awards program, which began in 1987, recognizes "the top 100 organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology."
UKAT’s Andrew Johnston was named the 2014 UK Student Employee of the Year. In addition, UKAT’s Kevin Angel was selected a top 10 finalists (out of over 30 nominees) for the award. The top 10 finalists and their supervisors attended the 2014 UK Student Employee of the Year Banquet held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Hilary J Boone Center. The banquet included dinner, guest speaker Provost Christine Riordan and recognition of each of the 10 finalists.
Due to many external factors (cost, exponential growth, etc.), the TSM centralized backup service will be changing from a default retention period of 30-days (30 incremental copies) to a 15-day (15 incremental copies) for all TSM client/nodes.
