The essence of the Martin Luther King Center is to cultivate an inclusive community. Through our annual calendar of high quality cultural/educational programs consisting of dialogues, workshops, film screenings and many more we hope to stimulate the minds all members of the UK community. Additionally, the King Center supports many campus initiatives and has sponsored conversations by notable figures, artists, speakers, activists and intellectuals such as the late Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou, Spike Lee, Charlamange Tha God, Bobby Seal, Ruby Dee, Ron Dellums, Shaun King, Nikki Giovanni and many, many more. These programs have enriched the university experience for thousands of students, faculty, staff and members of our regional community.
