The University of Kentucky College of Nursing's Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center—named in honor of Dr. Phyllis D. Corbitt, who served the Wilmore community for more than 40 years—opened in September 2015 in an effort to fill a need for accessible, basic health services in Jessamine County.
The clinic is completely staffed by faculty of the UK College of Nursing and provides comprehensive health care for people of all ages including health promotion, disease prevention, immunizations, management of acute and chronic health problems and behavioral health counseling and medication management. The clinic also offers school and sports physicals, as well as pre-employment health screenings.
