Use of Student Learning Evidence

In a study conducted by the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment, Making Student Learning Evidence Transparent, Jankowski & Provezis (2011) found that out of 200 institutions: 78% posted student learning outcomes performance indicators, 57% posted results of student learning outcomes assessment, and only 34% shared examples of the use of the results (p. 20).

The Office of University Assessment is working towards being transparent with how our institution – at the campus, program, and course levels – use evidence of assessment results.  The below provides a few current examples of how results have supported the improvement or creation of initiatives on campus.
