Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Implementation Nominations

The University of Kentucky recently announced the first steps of what will be a comprehensive plan, designed to accelerate progress at UK for diversity across campus.

As we work to formalize the structure of this process, we're inviting members of the UK community to nominate themselves or someone else to serve on a the leadership team, advisory groups, workstreams or specific projects within the workstreams, based on their interests or skills.

You may nominate an individual for multiple groups by selecting multiple boxes below. You may also nominate more than one individual by completing the nomination form multiple times. Please submit one nomination form per nominee.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leadership Team

The DEI Leadership Team will make recommendations to the President on matters related to the DEI projects, concepts and implementation steps. 

Advisory Groups

Four advisory groups will be created: faculty, staff, students and community partners. Each advisory group serves to provide input, guidance and feedback in all matters related to the overall DEI project, and works directly with member(s) from the President’s Leadership Group.


The action plan contains steps around the areas of investments in training; employee recruitment and retention; student success; policies and programming; facilities and finances; research into social and racial injustice issues and health disparities; and community outreach.


The project groups are organized around six structural components for institutional change and are led by project lead(s). Each of the six structural components is led by executive sponsor(s). Each project group has student, faculty and staff representation.
