Should the video be just for UK students or for general viewers?
Ricoh might possibly use the video in their advertising or in presentations on or
off UK campus.
Should it be a video just about 3D printing?
We do not want to influence any content. The video should be of your own creativity
of what the phrase "Looking Forward to the Campus of the
Future" may mean to you. It isn't necessarily a sales pitch for Ricoh.
What is the MPS (Managed Print Services) program on UK Campus?
How can I learn more about 3D printing at UK?
Contact Alec Whisman at
alec.whisman@ricoh-usa.com for more
information about the MakerSpace lab and when is the best time to come and see the
studio.
Is the objective of the video to follow the theme "Looking
Forward to the Campus of the Future"?
Yes.
Do I still need to obtain permissions for people in the background of shots?
When in doubt it is best to be safe. Please see this site for more information:
9 Copyright Laws Every Video Producer Should Know
Excerpt:
It will do more harm to not have a signed photo release when you need one, than
to have one that you do not need. Always have anyone appearing on camera in your
video sign a release form prior to shooting. The release form will protect you
against legal issues and gives you permission to use the video of the person for
commercial and non-commercial purposes. A release is not needed if a person is
part of a crowd recorded in a public place, as long as the person is not a focus
of the video.
I will be attending a different university next school year, can I take the
scholarship with me to that university?
Sorry, but the scholarship is only being offered through the University of Kentucky
scholarship office to be used at UK.
Do I need to include the Ricoh or Media Depot @ the
Hub Logos in my film?
No, you are not required to use the Ricoh or Media Depot logos in your video.
