Academic Communication Tool (ACT) Alert Management System

At the University of Kentucky, we take seriously our commitment to the academic success of our students. Through a collaboration between faculty, advisors, student affairs personnel, students, and IT developers, we have created an alert management system to ensure our students have the academic assistance they need, right when they need it.

The academic alert system is designed as a platform to connect with our students who may be feeling overwhelmed or stressed out and to help those students develop a strategy to improve their academic situation. We know that many students encounter obstacles along their academic journeys, so we have a wrap-around communication tool to provide support to our students from all aspects of campus life -- faculty, academic advising, program advising, residence life, and beyond.

Please note, the ACT Alert Management System is for academic alerts only.

Course instructors may submit an alert using the features in the myUK Class Roster. If you teach a course with enrollment of more than 100 students, you may use the features available in the myUK Class Roster or you may use the template found in Faculty & Staff Resources. Follow the instructions in the user guide to submit the bulk alerts.
