Welcome to the inaugural Walk & Roll Week! This is a week of activities to celebrate alternative transportation, as part of the larger UK Sustainability Month – with events taking place throughout October. Check out the calendar on the UK Sustainability page for more events!
Walk & Roll Week is hosted by Transportation Services. Join in, get inspired to participate, and think outside the parking spot!

Reimagine Rose Street Festival
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Location: on Rose Street, between Funkhouser and Huguelet drives
Rose Street was once a busy vehicle thoroughfare in the heart of campus. Come to the festival for yard games, bicycle polo, activities and entertainment and help us reinvent the space for non-motorized users.
Trivia in Transit
Date: Thursday, Oct. 4, 9 a.m.
Location: on Blue Route buses
Hop on the Blue Route Thursday morning for a Cash-Cab inspired trip around campus. Tap into your competitive side by answering questions about UK, Lexington, and transportation for a chance to win swag and other prizes. Hosted by Lextran.
Book Benches Bicycle Tour
Date: Friday, Oct. 5, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Location: William T. Young Library
Join representatives from Wildcat Wheels, UK Libraries, and LexArts for a tour of the book benches around downtown. Learn about how the benches came to be, as well as the art, artists, and authors who made it happen.
Kick off the next Move Well Fitbit challenge with a run/walk that ends at Kroger Field
