Kentucky Wildcab is a free, late night on-demand transportation option for UK students using four and six passenger vehicles. This free service is primarily designed to provide a ride home to UK students and their guests while promoting responsible late-night transportation decisions. It's funded, in part, by the UK Student Government Association and the Student Transportation Council and operated by Transportation Services.
Hours of Operation
Kentucky Wildcab runs Thursday through Saturday, from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m., when fall and spring semester classes are in session.
Using Kentucky Wildcab
Rides are just a tap away! Download the UK Wildcab app, available on the App Store and Google Play, to request a ride. Average wait times are between 10 to 15 minutes; however, riders may experience shorter waits when demand is low and longer waits during peak demand. Once a ride has been requested, users receive an alert notifying them when the cab is on the way and when their ride has arrived at the scheduled pick-up point. Kentucky Wildcab drivers will wait for three minutes before cancelling the ride and moving on to other requests. Students may be asked to show a valid student ID.
Requesting a Ride:
- Download the UK Wildcab app in the App Store or Google Play
- Log-in with your university linkblue credentials.
- Enter your phone number, to be sent ride updates
- Select "Start"
- Select a pick-up and drop-off location on the map or type in the addresses for these locations.
- Select "Confirm" to confirm your ride.
Where Can I Go?

Kentucky Wildcab operates several ADA-accessible vehicles. Users requiring special accessible accommodations may contact the assistance number provided below.
