Donations for Citations 2018
Donations for Citations
Starting on Monday, March 26 and running through Friday, April 6, Transportation Services will be holding its annual donation drive to benefit Big Blue Pantry. Customers may choose to donate non-perishable goods – including food and personal care items – and, in exchange, have one regular parking citation of $25 or less waived.
This program not only benefits the students who depend on Big Blue Pantry, but offer an alternative way for members of the campus community to pay one of their citations. Big Blue Pantry assists UK students who are experiencing food insecurity or hunger. This donation drive helps their customers during a time of the semester when donations have historically been low.
Customers should bring donations to the Transportation Services office in the Press Avenue Garage (721 Press Avenue). The office is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In its first two years, Donations for Citations has generated nearly 5,300 pounds of donated items for the Big Blue Pantry.
