Commute Club

Commute Club is a free program which provides benefits to members who have committed to walk, bike, bus, or carpool to campus, regardless of whether they’ve been in the habit for years or are interested in switching transportation modes for the first time. This program is one of Transportation Services' many initiatives to reduce campus parking demand and traffic congestion.

Participation has a number of benefits but requires a car-free commitment that will restrict the member from purchasing a parking permit for one year. With the exception of residential students, participants may still purchase a limited number of single-day permits for occasions when they must drive to campus.

Application Information

Applications for Commute Club are now closed.

If you are already enrolled in Commute Club and wish to continue membership, the program manager will reach out to you  in June to see if you want to re-enroll. You do not need to fill out the application again.

Commute Club is available to all students and employees who choose to opt out of purchasing a parking permit. Students must be enrolled full-time at UK, and must have a graduation date no earlier than May of the year following program enrollment. UK employees must be full-time and have a main campus, day-shift work assignment. Employees with a temporary work assignment must have an end date of June 30 or later, of the year following program enrollment. Participants in other alternative transportation programs, such as Cash Out, the Bike Voucher Program, and Big Blue Cycles are also eligible to enroll in Commute Club.
