Spring Break Transportation & Parking Updates
Spring break is fast approaching! Each year, UK Transportation Services adjusts parking and campus bus services to reflect the needs of a temporarily reduced campus population. Below are details concerning these changes.
Parking Permit Control
All employee (E) lots will remain on control as normal from Monday, March 13, through Sunday, March 19.
Most student lots will be adjusted during spring break (March 13-19) to require any valid UK parking permit. The following lots and structures are exceptions: Rose Street Garage (R2); Sports Center Garage & Complex Drive (R7); R17, R18, R19, R29 and R30. These lots will continue to be controlled for those specific permits.
Hourly parking payment is required as usual for all visitor pay lots and campus parking meters during spring break.
Student lots will resume normal enforcement beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, March 20.
Campus Bus Routes
The Orange Route (UK Healthcare) will continue to run its normal schedule throughout spring break.
The campus Blue, White and Green routes will operate on a modified schedule of 6:45 am to 6 p.m. Monday, March 13, through Friday, March 17. All routes will return to normal operating hours beginning on Monday, March 20.
The weekend Yellow Route will not be in service on March 11-12, and on March 18, but will operate extended hours from 9 a.m. to midnight on Sunday, March 19. Normal operating hours of noon to midnight will resume on Saturday, March 25.
Kentucky Wildcab will operate as usual on Thursday, March 9, but will not be in service March 10-11 or March 16-18. Normal Wildcab operations will resume on Thursday, March 23.
