Visitors

Whether you're visiting the University for a couple of minutes, an hour, or an entire day, we hope that your stay will be a pleasant one. When planning your visit, it's always helpful to spend a few minutes exploring your transportation and parking options.

Getting Around Campus

Because UK is located in an urban environment, we have a multitude of transportation possibilities, including on-campus bus routes that allow you to reach any part of the University easily. There's no fee to ride these buses, so just hop on board. Biking to a meeting? UK is a gold-level bicycle friendly university and has bike racks outside almost every building.

Parking on Campus

UK also has an array of parking possibilities, which includes meters, garages and surface lots. Depending upon the length of your visit, you may choose to park short-term at a meter or in a parking structure. If you plan to be on campus most or all day, you may want to purchase a single-day permit, which is a great low-cost option for longer visits.

Please visit this page for more details about parking on campus and see this map to view visitor-friendly options, identified by a red letter "V."

UK HealthCare Parking

If you are a patient, have a healthcare appointment or are visiting a patient in any of the UK HealthCare facilities, you'll be able to park in one of our HealthCare parking structures. Please note that these areas are reserved for HealthCare-related parking and are closely monitored. For more information about healthcare-related options, visit this page.

UK Athletics Parking

If you're a fan of the Big Blue Nation, chances are you'll be attending UK Athletics events on campus. For more information about parking during sporting events, please visit this page and see UK Athletics for schedule and ticket information.
