Andrew Laws, from Edgewood, Kentucky, is a senior studying public policy on a pre-law track. Andrew currently serves as the UK Student Body President and is involved with multiple organizations including the Student Philanthropy Board, Beta Theta Pi fraternity, the Interfraternity Council, Special Olympics Club, Student Policy Association, and the Newman Center. In his more than two years within UK Student Government, he has been twice elected as an undergraduate senator-at-large and served as the chairman of the Appropriations and Revenue Committee. 

Andrew campaigned on the need for increased student engagement opportunities, advocated for improving holistic health and well-being among students, and strongly emphasized his goal to be accessible and transparent to all students. In his term leading the Student Government Association, Andrew plans to bolster the many services offered by the organization to maximize their reach on campus, as well as focus on increased advocacy by Student Government to the university administration.

In his time as Student Body President and Trustee, Andrew plans to be a champion for student interests, always focusing on how to make the student experience at the University of Kentucky as great as it can possibly be.
