Joe Palumbo

Joe Palumbo is a lifelong Lexington resident.  He attended Sayre School and graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Business Management from the Gatton College of Business and Economics. He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and served as President.

Palumbo owns several family businesses in Lexington. He is the President of Palumbo Lumber Company, Palumbo Properties Inc, Palumbo Development, and Central Kentucky Truss.  

He has served and held leadership positions on boards and other organizations, including former President and current Board Member of the Kentucky Building Materials Association, and former President and current Government Affairs Director for the Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky. He is also a graduate of Leadership Lexington, a University of Kentucky Fellow, and a former Board of Trustee member for Sayre School.  

Palumbo currently serves on the Kentucky Legislative Ethics Commission.  

He and his wife Jennifer give back to many worthy causes in Kentucky. Most recently they served as Co-Chairs of the 2026 American Heart Association Central Kentucky Heart Ball.

They have two children. John is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, and Anna is a senior at American University in Washington, DC. They are members of Calvary Baptist Church in downtown Lexington.
