McKenna R. Dowell
McKenna Dowell, from Louisville, Kentucky is a Lewis Honors Rising Leader Senior, pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and History. McKenna was elected by the largest voter turnout in the University's history and won by a twelve percent margin. As Student Body President for the upcoming 2025-26 academic year, McKenna hopes to focus her administration efforts on student voice, mental health and wellness, and bridging the gap between alumni and current students.
McKenna is actively involved across campus. She has been in the Student Government Association (SGA) since the end of her freshman year on campus. She is a co-founder of Students for Sensible Drug Policies (SSDP), and served as a team captain for the 2025 DanceBlue marathon. She has also held leadership roles in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi (ADPi), the pre-law fraternity Kappa Alpha Pi (KAPi), and was an ambassador for the College of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, McKenna has been a part of both the Kentucky Legislative Internship Program (KLIP) in Frankfort, KY and the WIlDCats at the Capitol Internship program in Washington, D.C.
