Aaron Cramer

Dr. Cramer is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering and the immediate past chair of the University Senate Council and past chair of the Senate Academic Programs Committee.
In addition to his institutional service in the University Senate, Cramer teaches and researches in the areas of electric power and energy. Specifically, he focuses on the simulation, control and optimization of power and energy systems, including electric machinery, power electronics and power systems. He is widely recognized as an expert in the field of shipboard electric power systems.
Dr. Cramer earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky, and his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Purdue University in 2007. He is currently the Kentucky Utilities Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Kentucky.
