Starting in October 2015 and concluding in September 2018, the project expanded the Software Defined Networking (SDN) footprint not only to boost network speeds (up to 100X faster), but also to allow the instantiation of policy exceptions to improve the performance of trusted research data flows. As the project came to a close in 2018, the focus revolved around adding support for wireless access to researchers laptops, allowing up to 10X faster speeds for transferring large volumes of data. 15'
