Attempted Robbery

At approximately 5:55 am today, a female resident of the Shawneetown Apartments on UK's campus reported an attempted robbery to UK police. The victim was outside near the Building E mailboxes when an unknown man confronted her, demanded that she give him something, implied he had a weapon, and then tried to grab her. The victim was able to flee the scene and immediately contact UK police.

The suspect description is as follows:
White male in his mid – 20's with a fully bearded face. He was last seen wearing a red and white plaid or checked shirt or jacket with blue jeans. The suspect possibly fled the area in an unknown black or dark colored vehicle.

Indecent Exposure

The University of Kentucky Police Department is investigating a report of indecent exposure in the Scott St. area of campus. A subject driving a grey sedan has been reported to have exposed himself to a female student when asking for driving directions.
The unknown suspect is described as a white male in his late 30's or early 40's, approximately 5'11'' with a medium to heavy build. He is further described as having a medium complexion, short brown hair, and partial facial hair (possibly a mustache or goatee). The subject was last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and dark shorts and driving a newer model 4-door charcoal grey sedan. If you see someone matching this description, please contact UK Police by dialing 911 from a campus phone or #UKPD (#8753) from a cellular phone.

Abduction/Sexual Assault

UK officials have been advised that the Jessamine County Sheriff's Department and the Lexington Division of Police are investigating an abduction/sexual assault reported to have occurred between the hours of 2:30 and 3:45 AM on Friday, September 05, 2008. The victim reported she was abducted from Elizabeth Street near Waller Avenue in Lexington and then driven to a remote location in Jessamine County where she was sexually assaulted.

The unknown suspect is described as a white male in his 30's with a dark tan, 5'9" tall with short dark hair and a large build. He has a gap between his front teeth and prominent ears. The suspect was driving a dark colored full sized pickup truck.

Armed Robbery/Kidnapping

March 24, 2008

At approximately 3:00 pm today University of Kentucky Police were notified of a robbery at Greg Page Apartments that took place sometime between 2 and 3pm. Two men entered the apartment of a Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) student. They were armed with a knife and miniature baseball bat. They took cash and a Dell laptop, carrying them away in a light blue pillowcase. They also forced the resident to drive them to a local bank to obtain more cash.

Suspect descriptions are as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male, 6'4" tall, medium complexion, light build. He was last seen wearing a navy blue face mask, black zip-up hoodie and light grey fleece pants. He was armed with a knife and last seen in the area of Parking Structure #2 and K-Lair Grill on Hilltop Avenue.

Suspect #2: Black male, 6' tall, medium complexion, medium build, mustache. He was last seen wearing a black Carhart type jacket with a hood and black or dark-colored pants. He was armed with a miniature baseball bat and implied that he had a gun. He was last seen in the area of University Drive and Huguelet Avenue.

Assault

Tuesday Feburary 19, 2008

Assault at Lexington Theological Seminary. Lexington Police are investigating the report of an assault that occurred around 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19 at the Lexington Theological Seminary.

According to police, a man attacked a woman inside of the seminary with a knife and attempted to tear off her clothing. She managed to escape but the suspect has not been captured.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 6' tall. He was possibly wearing a stocking cap over his face.

The Lexington Theological Seminary is across S. Limestone from the UK College of Law.

Terroristic Threatening and Wanton Endangerment

On Wednesday, February 06, 2008, UK Police were dispatched to Greg Page Apartment Complex for a report of terroristic threatening and wanton endangerment involving a gun with shots fired. The male victim and witnesses advised that three black males and a black female arrived at the front door of the victim's apartment. One black male showed a gun and the victim closed his door. Two shots were heard by witnesses in the area. No one was injured. All three suspects fled the area in a black passenger car.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect 1:Blackmale, 18-19 years old with shoulder-length black hair. Last seen wearing red hoodie, black pants, armed with black handgun. Suspect discharged two shots outside apartment.

Suspect 2: Black male, 18-19 years old with black goatee. Last seen wearing black shirt and black pants.

Suspect 3: Black male, 18-19 years old. Last seen wearing tight blue shirt and black pants.

UK Police have reason to believe this incident is related to an earlier altercation involving the male victim and the black female that arrived at the door.

UK officials were informed today that the Lexington Division of Police is investigating a rape reported to have occurred at 410 Rose Lane on Sunday, January 13, 2008 between the hours of 1:30 and 4:00 am.
