Scholarship Programs for Feshmen Debaters
Debate Scholarships: The deadline for applying for a Debate Scholarship is April 1, 2009. To apply for a debate scholarship, send the following information to

- Your high school transcript
- ACT or SAT scores
- A detailed breakdown of your high school debate record
- Two letters of recommendation, one speaking primarily to your debate record and ability and one speaking primarily to your academic performance and potential
- A cover letter describing your interest in the University of Kentucky and in college debate

The Otis A. Singletary Scholarship: Four-year renewable awards covering the cost of tuition, room and board, plus a yearly stipend of $1,500.
The Presidential Scholarship: Four-year, renewable awards covering the cost of in-state tuition.
The Commonwealth Scholarship: Four-year, renewable awards of $2,500 per year; Kentucky applicants only.
The National Excellence Scholarship: Four-year awards of $4,500 per year; non-resident applicants only.
