Academic Advising and Scheduling
UK Undergraduate Studies provides guidance for students who are exploring majors at the University of Kentucky. Distance learning students can contact the academic advisors in Undergraduate Studies to assist with their transition to the university and between colleges, as well as obtaining general academic advising.
- For students who will be transferring to UK, they should contact our office:
- For students who have been admitted to their program already, they should contact their respective college.
Listed below are campus departments and resources that can help you find and enroll in distance learning courses and programs. These courses operate according to the same admissions and registration process as on-campus courses.
The academic calendar is the resource for finding out important dates, including application deadlines and priority registration windows. It is divided according to the five yearly terms: Fall Semester, Winter Intersession, Spring Semester, Four-Week Intersession (First Summer Session), and Eight-Week Intersession (Second Summer Session). All of the dates are the same for Distance Learning courses and face-to-face courses.
The Registrar's Office is the main source of information about registration, transcripts, and more. It is also the main source of information about residency, and the residency site includes the residency policy, information about the application process, and the application itself.
