Student Services

The Student Services page offers information on academic success resources, linkblue and myUK, Canvas, the distance learning student ID, the Career Center, the VIP Center and more.

Linkblue and myUK

  • The term "linkblue" refers to a directory account (user id and password) which is used to access student account information (MyUK), log into online courses (Canvas LMS), and connect to other campus-wide systems, such as the APEX Degree Planner. To activate a new linkblue account, visit this new student linkblue page ; to manage or reactivate your existing linkblue account, visit this linkblue account manager page 
  • myUK is a UK student and employee portal site that hosts a variety of student and employee specific self service programs, accounts, and apps. 


  • Canvas is the learning management system used by majority of instructors for coursework. Access your online course by logging into your Canvas page with your linkblue login.
  • Get help using Canvas by reviewing Canvas tutorials or clicking the Help icon in the Canvas navigation bar. 


  • Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, simple online meetings, group messaging, and mobile collaboration.

Disability Resource Center

  • The Disability Resource Center works with all students who have a documented disability which requires academic accommodations for Distance Learning and online courses. 

Veterans Center

  • Find information about military and veteran educational benefits as well as information about the enrollment and application process at the Veterans Center page.

Career Center

  • The Career Center website includes a wealth of information and resources pertaining to exploring career options, working on a professional resume, interviewing advice, and more. 

Counseling Center

  • We care about our students’ psychological and emotional health. For free on-line screenings, visit the Counseling Center Online Screenings. To explore self-care apps, visit the Counseling Center Self-Care Apps.

Graduate Student Resources 

  • Make the most of your graduate experience by exploring information related to funding opportunities, writing and publishing thesis or dissertations, Graduate Student Congress (GSC), and more at the Graduate School Student Resource page.

Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center

  • For access to a variety of services, including Green Dot Training, and community and national resources to get assistance 24/7 visit the VIP Center. 

Wildcard ID

  • If you are ready to purchase your Distance Learning Wildcard ID, you can call the Wildcard ID Office at: (859) 257-1378. An agent will be able to process your information and accept payment over the phone. The cost for the Distance Learning Wildcard ID is $7.00. Please have ready the following information:
    • Your Student ID number
    • Your billing address
    • Credit card information

*Note: all Distance Learning IDs will be mailed to the address in the UK system, if this needs to be updated please correct this first prior to ordering the ID. Allow 7-10 business days for receipt of card, the ID office cannot guarantee international mailing.

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS)

  • The International Student & Scholar Services provides a number of services for current international students, including support and information for student employment, health coverage, advising, and more.
