Metal Cylinder Recycling

All types and forms of metal cylinders are recyclable at the University, once empty. For smaller tanks, remove the valve before placing in a scrap metal container on campus. Larger tanks might need additional modification. 

If you have any empty tanks that need to be recycled, contact UK Recycling to evaluate next steps or to schedule a pick up.

Any unwanted tanks that are not empty should be sent to UK Environmental Management.  Never place a metal tank or cylinder in a dumpster or compactor.
