Satisfactory Academic Progress
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is the term used to define successful completion of coursework toward a degree to maintain eligibility for federal, state, and certain institutional financial aid programs. The University of Kentucky is required by federal and state regulations and institutional policy to determine whether a student is meeting SAP requirements. Student must the meet the minimum standards set forth in the applicable SAP policies below to continue to receive financial aid.

Students who fail to meet the SAP standards may submit an online appeal for financial aid reinstatement. To be considered, the online appeal form must be submitted before the term deadlines outlined in the policies.
