UK Women's Forum Educational Assistance Award

Eligible University of Kentucky employees may apply for a $250 reimbursement to assist with the cost of books and/or other materials, supplies, and fees related to their UK course work.

Bluegrass Alliance for Women Legacy of Leadership Scholarship

The Bluegrass Alliance for Women offers $500 non-renewable scholarships to women who have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to volunteer service. These awards are available to female residents of any Bluegrass Areas Development District County (Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott, or Woodford).

Applicants must either be a currently enrolled full-time or part-time college student seeking scholarship funds or a non-traditional student attending college for the first time or going back to college.

Child Care Grant

The University of Kentucky Student Government Association offers child care grants to UK students who have a dependent child or children.

To be eligible, applicants must be officially admitted to the University of Kentucky, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, and provide an estimate of household monthly living expenses. These grants are need-based awards offered during the fall and spring semesters.

Go Higher Grant

Kentucky's Go Higher Grant provides up to $1,000 for adult students ages 24 or older who enroll at a Kentucky college or university less than half-time. These need-based grants are awarded to assist with tuition and book costs for one academic year.

P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund

The Educational Loan Fund was established in 1907 to make loans available to qualified women desiring higher education, who are in need of financial assistance.

Candidates must be recommended by a local chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and be within two years of completing their course of study. The current maximum loan is $12,000 at 3% interest and due six years from the date of issue. Following the graduation date originally stated on the application, interest will begin accruing and will be billed on an annual basis.
