Bolt Receives CAFE Undergraduate Research Award

Bridget Bolt

Agricultural and Medical Biotechnology undergraduate student Bridget Bolt has been awarded a CAFE Undergraduate Student Research Activity Award (RAA). Bridget is carrying out her undergraduate research project in Horticulture's Environmental Epigenetics and Genetics Group (Dr. Carlos Rodriguez Lopez). Her research focuses on the contribution of DNA methylation to crops' ability to assemble soil microbiomes. This project is partially funded by a Food Connection Student Opportunity Grant awarded to Bridget in May 2020. Bridget will use her RAA to cover the fees for her attendance at the World of Microbiome Virtual Conference and the QIIME2 Workshop. Congratulations, Bridget!
