Zachary Stacy is the Associate Director of Intellectual Property Development at UK Innovate, where he works with innovators across campus to translate research discoveries into solutions that benefit Kentucky and beyond.

A proud double Wildcat hailing from Northern Kentucky, Zack earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B.S. '17) and his Juris Doctor (J.D. '23), both from the University of Kentucky. Prior to law school, Zack worked as an engineer in central Kentucky’s burgeoning environmental and aerospace sectors. As a patent attorney, he specializes in protecting and commercializing university innovations, working closely with faculty, students, and staff throughout the research enterprise to advance the university's mission of inspiring ingenuity.

Zack and his wife Georgiana, a commercial real estate attorney (JD ’23), call Lexington home with their daughter and two dogs. He is active in the Intellectual Property Section of the Kentucky Bar Association and serves on the Men's Leadership team at Center Point Church.
