The Community of Concern serves as a central hub to connect students with resources to meet basic needs. Students with immediate needs should contact the Community of Concern Team:
• Call 218-NEED. This hotline is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

The University of Kentucky Academic Scholarship Programs offer funds to outstanding students who demonstrate the potential for superior academic performance. Academic-based scholarships are administered by the Office of Academic Scholarships.

Arbor Youth provides housing assistance and other services for individuals up to age 24, including transitional housing, rapid rehousing services, and a daily outreach center offering showers, meals, information and referrals, transportation, and crisis counseling.

The Big Blue Pantry serves University of Kentucky students who are experiencing food insecurity or hunger. Any UK student, with a valid UK ID is eligible to receive non-perishable goods from the Big Blue Pantry.

The pantry is currently running on summer hours; check back in the August for fall semester hours.

Farm-to-Fork is a grant-funded meal program that provides not only free locally sourced lunches using recovered foods and produce, but also education and a sense of community to any UK students.

Financial Ombud Servces were initiated as an avenue of assistance to help students who are having financial difficulties at the University of Kentucky. The Financial Ombud works one on one with students and parents to identify and resolve financial problems.

God’s Pantry Food Bank several food pantries in Lexington where individuals in need of food can “shop,” and provides hunger-relief services directly to those suffering from food insecurity. The Basic Needs Office can facilitate a referral to this program; simply contact the office at (859) 218-NEED or basicneeds@uky.edu.

Dining plans are prepaid accounts that cover on-campus meals. Meal swipes may be used at either one of UK's two all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, Champions Kitchen or The 90. Flex Dollars are used like a debit card for food on campus; they are accepted at all UK dining locations in a dollar for dollar transaction. Dining plans are charged to your student account and can be ordered by creating a Campus Dish account using your official UKY.EDU email address. Find an FAQ here.

Wildcat Wardrobe is a career closet for students aimed to alleviate the financial burden related to purchasing professional clothing for job interviews, internships and full-time job opportunities after graduation. Students can receive three items from the wardrobe for free by showing their student ID.
