FLSA Changes: Employees
This class with help employees whose positions will be reclassified to non-exempt, biweekly paid positions plan for these changes. Topics include adjusting from a monthly to a biweekly budget, potential work habits adjustments, and what being eligible for overtime means.

This class will assist supervisors and managers in effectively adjustingto the changes arising from the U.S. Department of Labor’s change to theway employers may classify positions that are eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This discussion oriented session will provide supervisors with a deeper understanding of the reasons for the changes, how to communicate effectively with affected employees as well as their entire team, and sharing best practices in managing workloads.

This class will assist business officers in planning for the impact fromthe U.S. Department of Labor’s change to the way employers may classify positions that are eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act. This discussion oriented session will focus on topics that business officers will need to consider to implement these changes accurately, including how to help your department/college leaders communicate the change effectively, additional insight into how UK will implement these changes, best practices in ensuring employees and supervisors new to the biweekly payroll cycle are paid correctly and howto support employees whose positions transition from monthly to biweeklypayroll schedules.
