May 18, 2016: U.S. Department of Labor announced its Final Rule to update the FLSA, raising the minimum salary and employee may be paid to be exempt from overtime rules to $47,476.

Dec. 1, 2016: Changes to the FLSA overtime rules take effect.

Dec. 16, 2016: Employees who convert to a biweekly pay schedule as a result of FLSA changes receive their first biweekly paycheck.
