Housing and Move-Out
Thanks to students and their families for participating in a successful move-out of the residence halls.
UK Housing now turns attention to consolidating students who needed to stay on campus for extenuating circumstances. The Housing Assignments office is working on sanitizing rooms and making housing assignments this weekend. Some students will begin moving to north campus this weekend. Some carts will be available, but no moving assistance will be provided as we practice social distancing, in alignment with recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Governor Beshear.
If you have not moved out of your residence hall by 4pm on Friday, March 27, please email email@example.com or call 859-257-1866.

Student Counseling Services
We are currently offering phone or secure Zoom appointments for students who are currently in the state of Kentucky. If a student is not in the state of Kentucky, we can talk by the phone to help locate other resources for them.
Students can call the UK Counseling Center at 859-257-8701 to schedule a telehealth appointment.
We will be offering some drop-in workshops such as meditation [weekly], guided imagery [weekly], and color coded [for students of color; weekly]. We will be updating this list of workshops which can be accessed through our website.
Employee Counseling Services
Individual counseling through Work+Life Connections is a voluntary, confidential benefit that offers five free sessions with our licensed and certified therapist. All faculty, regular staff (FTE 0.50 or greater), spouses, sponsored dependents, unmarried children up to the age of 26 (or older if disabled before the age of 26) and UK retirees are eligible.
To continue meeting the needs of our employees and to care for our UK community, we are offering all appointments online-only, either through Zoom or a phone call. Continue to request appointments as you normally would through our Work+Life Connections website. Your appointment confirmation email will include details and instructions for connecting with Zoom or a phone call.
The Johnson Center, Alumni Gym and Lancaster Aquatic Center are closed, as well as the Johnson Center's outdoor basketball courts. The Arboretum is also closed to the public.
UK Libraries is now operating on an online service delivery model. View a quick reference guide of online resources here.
Gatton Student Center
Monday-Friday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
UK Bookstore and Starbucks are closed at this time.
When utilizing transportation services, please consider the following passenger recommendations:
- Park and stride – skip the bus and walk from periphery parking areas, reducing the number of riders on the buses. This allows for more space between passengers who may need or choose to ride.
- Leave an empty space between passengers – we are limiting occupancy on buses to half the total seating capacity, allowing for an empty seat between passengers. When waiting to board, please allow extra space between individuals.
- Practice social distancing at bus stops – the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention recommends a distance of six (6) feet from others, when possible.
- Limit coughing & sneezing exposure – while coughing and sneezing are not definitive signs of a communicable disease, please be respectful of your fellow passengers and avoid when possible. If not possible, please ensure you limit the spread of airborne particles by coughing or sneezing into your sleeve or a tissue.
- Spring 2020 Interim Parking Modifications
Campus parking lots are on control during this period. However, there are some modifications.
- Spring 2020 Interim Parking Map
Campus parking map valid from now until May 7, 2020.
- Spring 2020 Interim Transit Service
Campus bus routes, Kentucky Wildcab and Paratransit service modifications.
