The tool provided an additional method of verifying your identity to log-in or to complete a transaction within myUK. It requires two things: something you have (your phone or mobile device) and something you know (your password).Two-Factor Log-In enhances cybersecurity by providing two layers of protection against hackers, reduces dependence on passwords, and lessens the chances of a security event. To get the word out, various ITS employees participated in tabling events across campus as a part of Cybersecurity Awareness month. 365-Day PassphraseAlongside Two-Factor Log-In, a new passphrase policy was made available to on campus students, faculty, and staff to better protect their personal information. A passphrase is a sequence of words used to control access to a user account. Passphrases are similar to passwords, but are more secure. By following the new linkblue passphrase requirements, customers are able to keep their passphrase for a year without having to update it. This is a change from the previous linkblue passwords which had to be updated every 90 days.19'
