The UK Libraries offers some unique databases which allow faculty to include videos, pictures, art, music, etc without needing copyright approval. For more information on these databases resources, please see the links below:
Humanities and Social Sciences streaming video platform that gives you access to educational programs that you can incorporate into your online lesson plans and distance learning courseware. Specific coverage includes Anthropology, Area Studies, Art, Architecture, Communication, Criminal Justice, Education, English and Language Arts, Geography, History, Music and Dance, Philosophy and Religion, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology ad World Languages (Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish).
DRAM: Database of Recorded American Music
Provides on-demand streaming access to CD-quality audio (192kbps Mp4), complete original liner notes and essays from independent record labels and sound archives. Focus is on recordings that have been neglected by the commercial marketplace.
Currently DRAM's collection contains nearly 2,000 albums (15,000 compositions) worth of recordings from a set of 15 independent labels. The basis for the current collection is the catalog of American music recordings by New World Records. Coverage includes folk, opera, Native American music, jazz, 19th century classical music, early rock, musical theatre, and contemporary and electronic music.
DRAM also includes music from other contributing sources, including the CRI, Albany, innova, Cedille, XI, Pogus, Deep Listening and Mutable Music labels. In the future, other major and independent labels and archival sources will be included in the coverage.
Streaming (64K and 20K) classical music service that provides access to a collection of nearly 76,000 CDs. Offers the complete catalog of Naxos recordings, including the Naxos, Marco Polo, and DaCapo catalogs, plus jazz and world music. Also available are online texts of opera synopses, librettos, and a pronunciation guide. Over 800 new CDs are added to the library every month.

Streaming music site that includes c. 65,000 tracks of jazz from over 6,000 albums with over 12,000 jazz artists (as of Feb. 2012). The music is drawn Blue Notes Records, 22 labels of Fantasy Jazz and over 150 other labels. Artists include John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Dexter Gordon, Lee Morgan and Wayne Shorter. Select works by featured artist(s), disc / song title and catalogue number. New jazz releases are continually added.
