To safeguard yourself when using items found via the Internet, make sure that you link to the original URL of the item you wish to use; do not copy, embed or upload the original item (article, image, PowerPoint, video) directly into your courseshell (Canvas, Coursera, etc.) or own website (unless express permission is given to do so, as in the case of a Creative Commons license).  Be sure to read any terms of use or service regarding media found on the Web to remain compliant.
