Object of Game

Eliminate players in squares higher than you and move up to the highest square

 

Basic Rules

  • Each person occupies a quarter of the court (players choose at random at start of game) and each quarter of the court either has a 1, 2, 3, or 4
  • The ball is always served from the player in square 4
  • The ball must bounce one time in the receiving square, then the receiving player must hit the ball into another square
  • Bounce the ball between players in the square hitting the ball only ONCE and bouncing the ball into another player’s square
  • If a player makes a mistake, then he or she is eliminated or moves to square 1
  • The ball must be hit with hands only
  • New players start in square 1
  • Holding the ball during play is not allowed
  • If the ball is touched by an object that is not one of the four players, then the round is restarted
  • Interior lines are “in” and perimeter lines are “out”
  • Players can be eliminated in the following ways:
    • Failing to hit the ball into another square
    • Hitting the ball out of turn
    • Hitting the ball with another body part other than your hands
    • Hitting the ball out of bounds
