About the Event

The Southeast Regional Research Symposium is a collaboration between the NIOSH ERCs and Agricultural Centers in Kentucky, Florida, North Carolina and Alabama. The purpose of the meeting is to bring emerging researchers from across the region together to share results, spark ideas and encourage collaboration. This year, 2022, will be our 5th symposium. The event will be held live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Attendees will have the opportunity to view recorded sessions from the live event on-demand.

The objectives of our annual SouthON meetings are to:

  • develop common priorities for OHS epidemiological analyses, and worksite interventions;
  • build collaborations with other occupational epidemiologists, NIOSH, academic colleagues, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), worker organizations, and other OHS partners;
  • provide epidemiology and program planning tools for OHS capacity building; and
  • promote scientific collaboration among OHS partners in the Southeast region.
