UKC Experimental Course Submission
The UKC prefix allows for faculty to propose a course for the UK Core and to teach it up to two times prior to submitting it for formal approval. We encourage faculty to be “experimental” in their approaches, while also ensuring that the course meets the learning outcomes for UK Core course area as defined by the relevant course template. Click here for instructions on submitting a UKC course requests (these are not done through eCATS).
Course Proposal Tracking
You will be notified if the UK Core Education Committee (UKCEC) has any questions regarding your course proposal. Once the proposal has been approved by UKCEC it will go to the Undergraduate Council (UGC) for approval and then on to the Senate for final approval. You can track the status of your proposal by logging into the eCATS system through myUK (https://myuk.uky.edu/irj/portal). See below for a screenshot of the navigation steps.
