Johnathan Hurley | Lead Ambassador

My name is Johnathan. I serve as the Lead Ambassador for the Tobacco-Free, Take Action team and I’ve been serving in this role since April of 2022. I am originally from Pikeville, KY but I have proudly called Lexington home for over a decade. I wanted to work with TFTA to develop my skills as an administrator as well as help coordinate an overall more efficient implementation of UK’s tobacco free policy.

Major: Dual Degree in Organizational Communications and Community and Leadership Development

Trey Potts | Ambassador

My name is Trey, and I’m an ambassador with the Tobacco Free Take Action Task Force at the University of Kentucky. I’m from a small town in rural Illinois called Oblong. I wanted to be a TFTA ambassador because I am a pharmacy student and I wanted to use this position to maintain my skills in nicotine replacement therapy in addition to making a change on campus and building my skill set and résumé.

Major: Pharmacy Candidate

Kayla Gales | Ambassador

I wanted to be an ambassador because I think it is important to enforce the tobacco-free policy that the university has in place. My role in running social media allows me to creatively inspire students to make a change and stop using tobacco products. I am also able to provide creative ways to stay away from tobacco products. This position will help me enhance my skills in my future endeavors.

Major: Integrated Strategic Communication – Minor in Communication
