IT Strategic Plan | 10 Action Item 1:3 ITS should collaborate with University partners to track student engagement and satisfaction in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing this as a supplement to students’ academic transcripts. Over the past year, the University has seen an increased emphasis on belonging and engagement as one of the four pillars of academic excellence. A student’s education at UK is more than just exams and grades; it is belonging to a community that supports their growth, challenges viewpoints, and builds lasting relationships. Opportunities allow students to participate in service learning, education abroad, andundergraduateresearch.Withmorethan600 student organizations, students can connect with other students and expand their interests across music and the arts; spirituality and religion; culture; service and philanthropy; sports and recreation; and much more. Specifically, ITS should rapidly expand the tagger system implementation so that students who attend programs, workshops, and activities can swipe into activities using their WildCat ID. Collaborative partners could also utilize this data to send out brief surveys to assess student satisfaction and improve future programming.
