CHS faculty and staff,
We have officially reached the halfway point in the fall semester. While this is an accomplishment for us all that we have been able to successfully navigate the first half of this uncertain situation, it also continues to present struggles. I recognize that as time passes, the impact of COVID-19 on your personal and professional lives – as well as your mental and physical health – grows stronger and the challenges continue to become greater. The number of moving parts continues to grow with each seeming more difficult than the last. I am hopeful that you know how much the college and university administration, your colleagues, and most importantly your students appreciate all that you are doing to make this semester a success.
I will be offering opportunities for an open discussion for any faculty and staff interested in attending. Coffee Breaks with the Dean will be an informal setting to discuss any issues, concerns, questions, etc. Please let Meredith know if you would like to join either of the dates/times listed below and she will send you zoom connection information.
In addition, I am happy to join any of your zoom classes for the first several minutes to thank the students for their commitment and to reassure them that we are constantly striving to improve their experience. Anyone who might be interested can reach out to Meredith to schedule.
I thank you for your commitment and dedication and am astounded with the amount of flexibility you have each displayed to face the numerous challenges you have been presented with.
